zoophonics

Hi, from Honolulu. I am a student teacher working in an inclusion kindergarten class. We just started the zoophonics program a few weeks
ago and it has been extremely successful. There are quite a few children who just could not remember the letter sounds even if we had used alphabet cards (with animals also) before. My mentor teacher and I were just discussing this yesterday and we think it works because people learn in different ways and some children may need the physical activity to help them remember the sounds. We recently tested all the children for the third quarter report and we found amazing improvement in the knowledge of the letter sounds. I agree this is a great program! Aloha.
