I taught K for 10 years. You will be surprised how much they have grown in your absence. Let them bring in something from Christmas for show and tell to get it out of their systm. I usually had Flashlight Friday this week . Everyone bring a flashlight and we explore the darker parts of the building. I turn off the hall lights as we walk down the hall and have them find: exp. Red things. They have to remember something that no one else mentioned or all the letters in their name. Review by pointing our lights to numbers or things that start with that letter. It makes coming back fun to school for them. (I have a couple of extra flashlights in case someone'e doesn't work) Do some big art projects that involve NOT sitting all the time. It will build the fun and be easier on their little bouncing bodies. Make real snowcones! Enjoy!
