Our students have 15 minutes to eat. After ten, we turn off the lights and declare 'silent lunch.' This calms them and gives them a chance to focus on finishing their food. Talkers are on the wall for five minutes during the recess that immediately follows lunch. We also dismiss kids one class at a time, waiting until the previous class is about gone before letting the next group up. Good luck!
