A teacher made this many years ago and it is still a favourite of mine. A loaf of bread a cirular type one. Cut off the top and scoop out a lot of the bread in the bottom bit. Put in 1 packet of cream cheese, ordinary grated cheese, a tub of sour cream, bacon or ham, onion, etc. Cover with alfoil and cook in a warm oven for 90 minutes. The bread from the middle and the top can be crusted up in the oven for 5-10 minutes. These are used as the way of getting the dip out and eating. Eventually the whole bread is eaten with the dip. I have also had it with spinach, etc added. It is best served warm. It is lovely and so little work.
