I teach in Statesville

Hello! I teach in Iredell Statesville schools as a Exceptional Teacher. The cost of living is very inexpensive. The salary is also low compared to other states that I have researched, however, the superintendent is fairly new and is rapidly increasing the supplement! I came to Statesville with a license from Indiana. I actually found the transition very difficult. I had to pay an $80 processing fee, then take additional tests (in other words, the tests that I took in IN were not sufficient.) As far as "the product"...It seems to be a lot of extra work and seems that they want you to prove yourself. I personally, am a first year and would do the product next year, however am moving to Georgia. As far as Statesville itself... it is very nice and the people are excellent. There is not much there for a young person in terms of entretainment or things to do. Please email me if you have additional questions.
