    I try to keep a running comment list for each of my kids during the quarter. If something good happens, I note it briefly. If a child is having a consistant problem with a behavior or task, I also make a note of it. This way when I'm doing qtr. reports I just have to skim over my notes and refresh my memory with their trends. Then I try to make a "developmental" comment - what they need to work on, and a "pat on the back" what they've excelled/gained in.
