We have done many of the activities described here by others, but one that we do that is really fun is a "Sink or Float" activity. We let children predict whether things will sink or float and include a pumpkin in the list....then place things in a big tub to see if their predictions are accurate...They are always, well almost always, surprised that the big heavy pumpkin FLOATS!!
