Love yr 'round calendar

I am in my 10th year of a yr. round calendar. We have about 200 children grades K-5 in our program and are a school w/in a school. We are a very close community of learners and teachers. We feel it is a great fit for both teachers and students. Just when we are "getting tired of each other" :) it is time for a 3 week break. Students come back ready to learn and EXCITED to return to class. Many families whose parents might be in construction have more opportunities to vacation during off peak times. We have less review time with a 6 week summer break. Lots of positives for me! Our parents have liked this option as well. (I return after my 3 week Christmas break in a few days--I am looking forward to "a new start"---it's like having four a year!
