I added antiseptic wipes to my supply list so each child brings them with their pencils and crayons. I collect them and store them under my sink and we wipe down our desks and shared areas (computer key boards, door knobs, etc) at least twice a week. When I run out, I send a note home and parents are happy to send more--they don't want the germs and illnesses at home either! Last year I was in a portable without a sink or restroom, so we took a potty break after each recess and I made everyone wash their hands whether they used the restroom or not. Even though we are back in the building this year, I may still make them do it. It is nice knowing that they have clean hands at least 3 times a day. I also give a squirt of sanitizer to each child as they line up for lunch.
