I remember 20 years ago I got pneumonia in the beginning of the year. I thought everything would fall apart. I was out 3 weeks, and actually it did fall apart because I had a horrible sub and no one wanted to tell me! But eventually I came back, and things got back to normal. You and your class will be fine, and no matter how the principal feels no one can change anything. Put your energy into healing, and time will take care of the rest.
