    I do a variation of YankieDoodle's game, but I do it in small groups with a deck of cards and call it "Beat the Teacher." I use markerboards and can have them compare and order the numbers when we've played 3 rounds. I do a variation with dice, but I call it Number Boggle and I give them all the digits at the same time so they can make the largest, smallest, order after three, etc.

    I've also played Place Value Bingo. I have the kids make up 5 numbers. I make two spinners - one that is ones, tens, hundreds, thousands, and another with the digits 0-9. If they have the place and digit I call (4 in the hundreds place), they circle the digit. When all their digits are circled, they call Bingo.

    I've also made a memory game for the kids to match expanded notation and standard form. They play in small groups.
