    1. Write words 2x each in cursive

    2. split words into categories. They make up their own categories such as "has the letter O" , or has '3 syllables" or even based on the word themes such as "types of weather" or "adjective" even categories such as "other" My kids got creative when doing this and it gets them thinking about the word's meaning, not just spelling.

Make a word search grid and have students fill it out, swap it the next day for classwork.

Our school uses spellingcity.com. It has useful games such as matching word/definition or hangman games to help students study. They are also printable if you want to assign them for homework.

Hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.
