I try to keep errors to a minimum

and rarely point out the errors of others. Sometimes they bother me, sometimes they don't. My biggest error is the run-on sentence. I tend to type like I talk. But I try to work on it.

I will admit though I was a little harsh on a poster the other day in the post about "Unpaid Work." But it was because he/she (well, not signed in) was hyper-critical about things and berated another poster in a condescending way. She also mentioned the importance of writing well while making a number of errors herself.

Afterwards I felt really bad. I thought that I was being hypocritical. I also wondered if the poster had English as a second language (or third or whatever.) I know we have worldwide representation here.

When I see errors, I often wonder what others (non-teachers or admin) think when they find this site. I know we are not "on the job" here. I know this is an informal format. I know all that.

It is just something I think about.
