Parent handbook

Every year at Open House, second week of school, I give Grade 3 Handbooks to the parents. In the handbook I include curriculum, with a brief explanation of each subject's content. Then I include expectations, with class procedures and rules; then I include class management and include procedures for birthday celebrations, tardiness, grading, report cards, progress reports, etc.
I also put a business card in the folder with my name, address(school), phone number(school), and email address(school).
I also include a slip for parent and student to sign that they have read and understood the handbook, and then they return the slip to me.
