Checking Homework

If you are just talking about checking to see who has their work completed and collecting it then this idea works great!! I have the students line up at the beginning of class with all of the homework that is due. The line up alphabetically. I have a bin for each subject at the front of my desk. They move through the line and put each assignment in its bin. I can see as they move who does and doesn't have their work.
