Thank you everyone for the feedback! Thank you GG for the unique ideas. That's one of the things I worried about, the students getting bored. What a great way to tie in academics with classroom management. I will be teaching Title I this year for the first time, so I won't have my own classroom. I'm coming out of the classroom after 12 years. I think I may still use the chants and physical motions to teach new concepts.
Powerteacher, I tried to figure out how to PM you, but I haven't located how to do that on this site yet. What are your thoughts on using Powerteaching with small groups, since I'll be teaching Title I? I mostly want to utilize it as a teaching tool, and some parts of the management components.
