I think it's an okay system. The key is that needs to be followed consistently-you can't give kids the opportunity to go to the school store three times one month and then not at all the next. Also, our school had trouble finding incentives that were appealing across the board versus going through the hassle of planning different events for different age groups. And it rubbed some teachers (including me) the wrong way that I had to incorporate PBS into my discipline system that I spent a lot of time working on (which truthfully was a lot more effective than the school's), especially since it was never completely implemented as it should have been.
