    Rewards

I work at a school where teachers aren't supposed to give candy as a reward to students. My first year there I implemented my classroom economy and I bought different items from Oriental Trading to use in our classroom store. The idea was great but expensive. I revamped the idea and chose to go with the special reward coupons. My students loved them! They are free and once you make a set, you can just give them out when needed. Students can also purchase special coupons with their classroom currency.

I agree with the previous poster, anything that lets students choose something they don't usually get to have for a reward coupon is a great idea.

Other rewards I give out in my classroom are things students will need in class. I have a collection of different types of pencils that I ordered from www.forteachersonly.com. Most pencils were about $20 for 144 which have lasted me for few years. I also have the pencil top erasers which students love and even the pencil grips.

I also suggest browsing Target's dollar section for some great finds and your local dollar store. :)
