Local Grocery Stores

My MIL works at a locally owned grocery store and she snags display shelves for me all the time. Often times the drink manufacturers bring in a display and then never come pick up the shelf after the promo is over, so she brings them home to me. I have scored some very nice shelves that way. I would ask around, you never know. Another place to look is craft/scrapbook stores that may be getting new shelves or storage.
