I know when I thought about my change from 1st to 5th, one thing that made me worry (?) the most was my "things", but mostly my books. I think any 1st grade teacher would feel the same way since so much of 1st grade is about literacy. Besides using your books as possible introductions to concepts or to help explain something, you probably have books that may help your lower ability 5th graders. I kept all of my books. There have been many posts (mostly BusyBoard I think) about setting up and maintaining classroom libraries. I plan to try that this year. Also, when I mentioned about going back and reading posts from the past month, that was really kinda an out there answer. You'd never have time to do that! Still, use PT - search Collections, etc. You will find a ton of great ideas and lots of help.
