If you aren't in a competitive state where some parents are fanatics about their college and may become opinionted about you due to your theme, you could name the groups after the state college mascots or even have the students create their own mascot for their table, after you give examples of the ones in your state. Classroom Job Ideas: What if you took people from a university and just stuck their name after the job? For example, Paper Professor (help pass out/collect papers) or Hallway Dean (line leader, monitors hallway, etc.) Your classroom could be named University of _(your last name)_ Your class could create the classroom rules (with you guiding them, of course) and this could become your university's code of conduct, in which they would all sign.
