I take a little reading inventory. I also have an ALL ABOUT ME page that I got from Mailbox Magazine and we decorate and fill that in on one of the first few days. We do the Left-Right activity. Each person gets a piece of candy or treat and as you read the story, the kids had their treat to the left or right as the story goes. Here is an example of the type of story.
