    Clip to ScrapBook

I'm not sure how much time you have in the lab so here are a few suggestions:

Do an All About Me PowerPoint. I start with a template and they fill in the information, add clipart to each slide & change the background. The one I do for 2nd Grade is 6 slides long:
All About Me By: & the type their name. You can also add a picture if you have one
Facts About Me & My Family (My hair is ... My eyes are ... I am ?? years old ... I live with ...)
Some of My Favorite Things (My favorite color is .. My favorite animal is ... My favorite food is ... My favorite thing to do is ...)
School (My favorite subject is ... My least favorite subject is ... My favorite book is ...)
When I Grow Up I Want To Be ...
    The End
I print this as a handout with 6 slides to a page and they can cut the slides out and make a mini-book.
Another PowerPoint idea is to have them create one slide with their favorite memories of the year. They could even use something like Paint to create a picture and save it and then add that to the PowerPoint too.
Use a drawing program to create a picture of what they will be doing this summer or their favorite thing from this year at school
Have them write a letter to next year's 2nd graders about what to expect in 2nd Grade. I think I read that you have 2nd grade, right?
Some fun sites they could visit:
    Game Goo
Up To Ten Kids (the Boowa & Kwala section is a hit with my 2nd graders)
    Dance Mat Typing
Arcademic Skill Builders - mine love the multi-player addition & subtraction games
    Computer Lab Favorites
KerpoofWe use the Jumpstart programs in the lab and during the last week of school I let them use the next year's program since they're almost that grade.
