I teach 2nd and have been making kids write notes home however they dont seem to mind, even though their parents have to sign it and bring it in the next day! These kids are becoming more and more disrespectful by the day! The reason that more recently I have been taking specials is that some of the specials teachers have been sending my kids back to my room when they misbehave. That is my plan time, so I then spend time dealing with the kids and not doing what I need to do, and in turn I have more work to get done after school and at home. SO when it comes to those specials I dont feel bad keeping them.
