Was it your first year of teaching? That's when people have the most enthusiasm for teaching. I am just an old workhorse. I have taught for a lot of years. In the years I have been teaching, kids have become less respectful and less disciplined, and I have found that I have spent more time on dicipline than ever before. I also could only keep my sanity this year by counting down. I had the most difficult bunch of kids in the school this year.Now on a positive note (since this is a positive feelings board), I will have a great class next year. I may not feel inclined to count down to the last day.
