I used to give bigger gifts, but I found the kids really love homework passes the best! Now I'm giving them each a candy cane with a homework pass hanging from it! It's cheap and I know they'll appreciate it!
I may also let them go to recess a little longer - those are the kinds of things my students really want!!!! :)
