My fourth graders love Reading Day. They bring a bunch of books from home and wear pajamas and bring pillow. We push some desks aside and they get to lay down, get comfy, and read! We make a whole day of it - we alternate with teacher read alouds, author's chair, silent reading, partner reading, little buddy reading, etc. (I usually try to schedule it for a minimum day).
