markers extra pencils folders that the kids can set up for privacy during a test a system for making lunch choices (i use paper plates and clothes pins) a plan for the morning routine a list of rules, rewards/consequences clearly posted a journal book full of fun writing topics a book to read aloud either from a bookstore or the library The most valuable thing I have done is to be over prepared. I think about my day while planning and visiualize what it will look like. The kids won't care what supplies you have, they care more about having a confident and prepared teacher. Good luck!
