I'm doing better this year

THis is my 5th year teaching K and in the past it has always been 5 p.m. before I would leave to do home. I am a single mother with two school aged children and they have always just stayed at school with me. THis year I decided that I wasn't staying that long. I have been only staying until 4 each day and I don't take anything home with me. I am now tutoring everyday after school until 4:15 but at that time I walk out the door. That still isn't bad. My two kids this year attend our AFter-School program and don't get home until 5:20 and I now have almost an hour Mon-Thurs. to sit at home in quiet before they arrive. I love it. One thing I am doing different this year is when I do my lesson plans I do them for two weeks at a time and copy for two weeks at a time. That way I feel like I have a week off inbetween copy sessions. It helps me feel better at the end of the day!:D
