I think part of the problem is my grade level is a bit splintered - there are 4 of us but there is one who wants to dominate and the other new and young teacher goes along with her. You can see that she is insecure when the other one isn't there and she is more open and friendly. However, when the dominant one is there it is different. I think the only reason why this dominant one (who's only been at the school now going on her 2nd year but taught elsewhere) doesn't completely take over is because the grade level chair is older and been at the school for about 18 years but I can see if she left/retired what would happen - it happened in a way last year because the teacher who was in my place last year transferred to another school.
