Loving my "Stations" this year! By MrsM79
|
| In the past I have struggled with centers that would be meaningful for the students but that also would run smoothly and not cause me stress. This year I think that I have found the key. I'm not sure if it's just the stations or my group of kiddos, probably both. I have 5 daily stations that are done all year long, and then I sometimes switch it up and add others in along the way. I have the Daily Math, and Daily Language stations, these are new this year and the kids and I love them. There are daily cards that have related tasks and the students complete these in their journals. Then I have a weekly writing prompt that they respond to in their writing journals. I also have a big display that changes monthly with 20 writing prompts that are seasonal/holiday related. The last station is AR. For some reason this year they seem to run themselves and the kids are getting a lot out of them. I am so pleased I just had to share!! :D
