For teachers: tell them where the carts will be stored how often they can check them out how you want the carts returned how the laptops should be secured while in their care what to do if they stop working (do they call you, complete a work order, fill out a form) if a teacher has the cart for Monday and Tuesday and they are being used in the after school program Monday, who is responsible for the transport back and forth? they are responsible for making sure they are plugged in when they return them - we had big problems with teacher not plugging in the carts so the teacher that had them the next day had dead batteries is the cart locked? where do they get the key? who do they turn it back in to? do you have an airport or router? is it locked onto the cart? Teaching the kids to use them: turning off and on..some kids want to push the power button instead of shutting them down i would have one kid pass them all out since there are only 12. if teacher wants the kids to get them, they must always be held with 2 hands never touch the screen sit computer in the center of the desk with nothing else on the desk at all do not let the kids on the internet the first day...they will be playing and not listening walk with them, don't run good luck!
