Her name is abcde (pronounced ab-se-dee). A lot of names are unusual because they come from different countries. Korean brothers- Sangbeom and Jinbeom (San-bum and Jin-bum) Japanese girls- Aoi (sounds a bit like Owie) and Ai (Sounds like "I") There's a girl at our school from Iceland with such a long name, nobody can remember it but the first letters look like "Hilda" so that's what we call her. Also a girl from Indonesia that had a long name that started with "Dasha" so we all called her that. In France they have a list of approved names that you must choose from when naming your child. I heard the list is pretty extensive, but still.... I went to school with an Isa Dick....my husband went to school with Harry Balls. How cruel! I used to know a Chinese boy by the name of Ding Dong but his parents wanted an English name- they chose Arthur and he went by Art- it was weird for a 5 year old, though he'll grow into it!
