First, I open a blank word document and leave it open on my desktop. Second, I open the pdf file. I use the camera button up in the tool bar to "take a picture" of the pdf document. I minimize the pdf file, click on the word document and then paste the "picture" of the pdf file. (You may have to resize the pdf "picture" so that it fits correctly.) Now, I insert a text box onto the document and drag it into position over the area that I want to change. I can then type text or insert clipart/photos into the text box. I used this procedure to change some of the streets, etc. on Homeworkopoly and it worked perfectly. You can't tell the difference. Good luck.
