organized desks By fireflyII
|
| We have used soda flats, the cardboard flats that soda cans are packed in then sent to the grocery stores, one for each child to put into his desk. These act like a drawer for the child. We also ask children to bring in two small plastic pencil boxes - one for pencils, colored pencils, erasers, sicissors etc. The other can be used for crayons and markers. In this "drawer" the kids put their pencil boxes, and ruler. All the other items go on the other side of the desk. I give a prize at the end of the year to those who do not destroy the box!!
The stores will save them for you if you ask.
We also keep the materials that the kids do not use each day on shelves.
Hope this helps.
