    things to do

I have had several students with fine motor impairments who needed similar accommodations. Some things I did:
    -allow oral responses where appropriate
-have student dictate extended responses or pieces of writing to you for you to scribe, or into a tape recorder
-provide typed copies of notes instead of having student write. You could leave some blanks for them to fill in occasional words.
    -reduce length of assignments
-I developed non-written assignments in some areas (spelling HW was a real issue for one of my guys). I developed a menu of non written assignments and had and sent it home weekly with the word list. He'd complete one of the activities each night and have his parent initial it for credit. He spelled the words for his spelling test by using magnetic letters.
I'm sure I'll think of more, but these came to mind quickly. Good luck!
