    Here is one that I have done before. You can read the story "The Little Red Hen." There are a lot of different versions that are easy enough for the kids to read. Then talk about how the animals in the story did not help eachother and did not show team work and how your class will be the opposite. Tell the that they can make great things happen when they work together as a team.

    Then you make butter. Basically it involves shaking heavy cream in a jar, but it takes a while to do it. Depending on the size of your class, you could have 2-3 jars being passed around to make sure everyone gets some shaking time, and everyone gets to enjoy some butter at the end. (I bought some cheap rolls to spread it on). My kids loved this activity!
