Yes, to be PC, you have to take it seriously... Personally, I would be more concerned if the threat was made by a first-grader to a middle-schooler. Middle-school students are not threatened by 1st graders. Think about it. Guns are used by the weak to level the playing field. A middle-schooler would just punch the kid's lights out.

I can picture a middle-schooler saying, "Let's go scare some first graders." I can totally picture that!!
