comprehension

There's some work being done around cognition and comprehension and how the exact same 7 "key" comprehension strategies can and should be used in all other areas. I don't know if your school teaches those strategies in reading, but if they do you could invesigate the outcome of teaching children to connect, envision, infer, etc.. in math. I think it's pretty powerful stuff. There's a book called Comprehending Math. Good luck!!
