I think I am getting to go to this conference, too. I have not been to the IRA conference, but I have been to the National Middle School Conference 3 times......be prepared for a HUGE selection of sessions to attend but you will love it!!! I really love the fact that I can choose from hundreds of topics to learn more about. Also, don't be afraid to have a couple of "back up" sessions. There is too much going on to stay in a boring session....get up and leave as soon as you know you've picked a dud! Usually, a catalog of sessions is posted on the website a week or so before the conference. We usually print out one and make copies to start identifying what we want to attend. Oh yeah, you will want to wear confortable shoes.....lots of walking at these conferences....
