When I taught the Civil War I used to have the students make Civil War newspapers (one for the North and one for the South). They had to do a lot of research to find pertinent stories. I wanted each newspaper to reflect the times (jobs, culture, leaders, etc.) I also had the class do debates. Jerry lib218@yahoo.com
