My partner teacher and I use a ticket system for rewarding students. Most of the time, we don't take tickets, just give them and they can use them to purchase school supplies. A pencil would be 5 tickets, a pencil eraser is also 5 tickets. A larger eraser or a pencil sharpener is 15 tickets; a pocket folder is 5 tickets. Students may rent a pencil for the day for 1 ticket. I write their name on the ticket so I remember to ask for the pencil at the end of the day. If a student from the other class, rents a pencil, it is to be returned at the end of the class period - not the end of the day. It has helped with students remembering to bring supplies to class.
