    We adopted Houghton Mifflin Reading this year. I'm glad to hear, cvt, that I need to give it a little more time in order to see and experience the benefits. It is so totally overwhelming and I find it impossible to get everything in. I'm hoping that the spiraling over the years will help make the program more time efficient than it is now.

    I like, and most importantly- the kids like, the selections.

    I wish I had know about the HM English program when we looked at all this. I think that would have been advantageous for our higher grades to look at. We adopted K-6.
