A Better Day for the Sub..... By Shannon
|
| I am an elemantry sub so I think the easiest way is to be upfront with the sub. FInd out what grades they like to teach and what grades they would prefer not to sub BEFORE you hire them for any days. This takes the pressure off the sub, by not having to say yes to a grade they may prefer not to sub for. Also, try to see if the sub is doing okay, by checking in once during the day. This lets the kids know too that you mean bussiness. But above all, just treat the sub like an equal.
