We have a sink in our room with a blue counter and storage underneath. It is part of the custodian's job to clean the sink and wipe down the counter. It wasn't happening, but the excuse given was that teachers have items on the counter and therefore, the custodian cannot do his job. We have been told not to have ANYTHING on the counter. Not even a kleenex box.

Several teachers have been written up for having items on their counters.

Some staff members have been written up for "having negative body language" and "asking questions and showing concern".

During summer school, we had to be in lock down due to a situation across the street. All doors were locked. However, the principal directed one door at the end of a hallway, (where almost of of the children were), to be chained. A teacher asked if that should happen because of a need for a fire escape, etc. That teacher was reprimanded for "questioning authority."

The majority of staff have been written up for things like this.
