I am shocked that there are school districts that don't provide identification cards for their employees. In our district, you have to get a new i.d. if you change schools because your school's name is printed on them. The I.D. must be worn at all times. We even have id cards for substitutes. The only difference is that their cards don't have names. They have to return them at the end of the day.

Even if you go to another school within the district, you must show your i.d. and get a visitor's badge.

At my son's school, you have to show your TX DL/ID, and they run it through a system to see if you are a registered sex offender or have been convicted of a sex crime. If you are OK'd, you get a visitor's sticker with your name and picture on it (from the DL and in black/white). Everytime you go to visit, you are given a sticker with that information on it. If your DL or ID doesn't go through, you are not given a sticker and asked to leave the building.
