This is always a sore subject at our school. We don't have classroom phones, (although many people, even at district office assume we do. We have something that looks like a phone receiver on the wall, but that's just for calling the office.) We a phone in the office, one in the lounge, one in the clinic, and one in the library. None really offer any privacy or are convenient. Our school is 2 floors and has an elevator for our physically disabled students. There's a phone in there to call out in case of emergency. We've laughed about making the elevator our staff "phone booth"!:p
