It is okay. The stroies are interesting in it. I try to skip around when I teach it. I use City Green and Cactus Hotel when I teach plants. I use Do Animals Think? when we are talking about instincts in Science. Also, Two Bad Ants and the 2 Spider stories ahen we learn about insects or around Halloween. We do have the grammar and spelling, but since we have state adopted textbooks for these subjects, we don't use those workbooks. The one thing I wish would be better is the leveled books that come in the crates. I would love to use these for guided reading but I do not think that many of them are that great of stories. I think they ruined them by trying to tie them in too much with the story from the basal that they go with. They added the same vocabulary words to the basal story and the three leveled books. Also, I don't think the easy crate is easy enough to use with my low readers. I would love to hear from anyone else that uses this series.
