I know this isn't a reward, but maybe it will help generate some ideas for you. Last year I gave each child a goody bag on the last day, and I included a note. For the difficult kids, I pointed out their strengths. For example, one kid was NEVER serious all year, and I pointed out that he reminded us to laugh.
