I agree with the poster that said Is that a Fact is a good book to read. I took an inservice class based on that book and it was amazing. I would also recommend Ruby Payne's A framework for understanding poverty and also The First Six Weeks of School, Classroom Spaces that Work and The Morning Meeting Book
